Hip-hop by Huess

I’ve got a big thing for Leftfield Hip-hop. That sweet amalgam of Electro and Downtempo elements, sometimes with a little bit of Rock, and then a familiar-feeling Hip-hop beat to nod along with. Guys like Prefuse 73, RJD2, Bullion and Pretty Lights do it right. Huess has been ramping up to join this proverbial team and just a few months back released his first EP: I’d Rather Be The Hunter. The EP’s title track has a catchy synth melody and great picks for percussive samples. I’m looking forward to his full album, expected this year.
